The Pump Room is an independent field guide for people trying to understand perfusion, ECMO, cardiac OR support, and cardiac device careers.
It is meant to help students and early-career healthcare people learn the landscape before they make decisions. It is not meant to replace official program pages, certification bodies, employers, mentors, or clinicians.
Why the tone matters
A healthcare career site has to feel different from a hype page. People are making serious decisions about training, debt, time, and professional identity. The site should make them feel calmer and better informed, not manipulated.
